The Official Three Peaks Challenge is a web portal created by  Mountain and Glen Outdoor Adventures Limited specifically for our Three Peaks Challenges and training.

The Three Peaks Challenge has become so popular over the last few years that we decided our 3 Peaks events needed their own website!  We were also aware that there was a lot of misinformation on the web regarding the Three Peaks Challenge and we wanted to use our 9 years of experience in organising hundreds of challenges for major charities, corporate teams, groups of friends and individuals to provide up-to-date information and a high quality event management service from start to finish.

Mountain and Glen was formed in 2005 by former Royal Marines Commando Jim Coughlan and offers a whole raft of outdoor adventures, from survival training to fell running courses and from mountain day walks to canoeing expeditions.

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery; we were the first company to provide “open bus” Three Peaks Challenges for individuals and introduced the “3 Peaks in 3 Days” event a few years ago for a more leisurely challenge.  Over the last few years we’ve noticed that most companies offering their services have “imitated” our ideas – to the point where we’ve dropped the “open bus” name from our “open” Three Peaks events to avoid confusion!  Our office now has a poster on the wall stating “Often imitated, never matched”!  Come and join us on one of our many events and you’ll see why!

Why should I choose Mountain and Glen to organise my event?

For over eight years now we have planned and co-ordinated Three Peaks Challenge events for groups of individuals, corporate teams and major charities. We also facilitate events on behalf of other Three Peaks providers.

We are extremely proud of our success in helping teams achieve their aims – whether that is the three peaks challenge in 24 hours, or simply getting to the finish. All of our leaders are chosen for their experience, knowledge and professionalism and we make good use of our contacts with both the military and Mountain Rescue organisations, in the belief that these leaders have honed their skills in some of the most testing circumstances in the world.

We pride ourselves on the safety of our operations and unlike many companies, our instructor to client ratios are fluid depending on group levels of experience, prevailing weather conditions and terrain. This means that everyone who experiences our adventures does so safe in the knowledge that they are in extremely good hands!
